About Louise
With over 30 years’ experience in primary education and SEND, Louise has worked as a primary class teacher in the UK and America, an Advisory Teacher for SEND in Manchester, and a Literacy Lead for an education company. Her specialism was intervention support for children with literacy difficulties, supporting schools across Greater Manchester.

Now based in Worcestershire, Louise works independently and as an Associate Specialist Teacher for a Special School Outreach Service, supporting schools to understand and meet the needs of their SEND pupils.Â

Louise is qualified to provide full diagnostic dyslexia assessments for schools and parents, working closely with SENDCOs, Inclusion Coordinators (INCOs), teachers and families to build a clear understanding of each child’s individual strengths and areas of difficulty.

Her assessments are designed to offer practical, achievable recommendations that can make a real difference in the classroom. These may include reasonable adjustments, adaptive teaching strategies, targeted support and, where appropriate, recommendations relating to examination access arrangements.Â

Louise's aim is not simply to identify difficulties, but to help schools and families understand how a child learns best and what can be done to support their progress and confidence.Â

She also has limited availability to provide early intervention support, or specialist tuition for students with dyslexia, using a bespoke approach based on each student's needs. Â

"Louise is amazingly knowledgable, kind and brilliant at what she does. She has really helped our dyslexic son, and has adapted her lessons to get the most out of him (and her patience knows no bounds!). Even more helpfully she liaises with school and this communication is invaluable. Highly recommend!"Â Harriet, Worcestershire.
